Fig Chutney with almonds

  • 10 figs
  • 1/2 cup apple vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds optional
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon optional


  1. Put the figs, sliced and , ehe vinegar, salt and  cinammon in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally

  2. Reduce heat to low and cook figs, uncovered and continuing to stir occasionally, for 30-40 minutes or until the liquid is thick and sticky.

  3. Remove from heat and put stevia ( if you use honey or any other sweetener you should put it at the beginning in the saucepan) and almonds

  4. Spoon into jars, let cool to room temperature, and then refrigerate.

You can add also onions or any other fresh or dry fruits
